15.03ct Transparent Ethiopian Opal Rough with Play of Color

This beautiful top crystal material, has an amazing play of color that flashes broadly across the surfaces. This piece is almost solid opal that has a very transparent body and looks great in any direction as a specimen. Not only that, but this piece is very fine cutting material that will have a great yield and would even look good faceted. We recommend that this opal material NOT be submerged in water (unless it is being cut, water will keep it cool), and it should never have any oils applied to it. Also, due to the hydrophane nature of this opal, the weight can vary slightly with humidity. We consider this to be a Thumbnail (TN) sized specimen.
