This naturally bright & colorful specimen is a fragment of a full ammolite fossil. Stabilizing and polishing these specimens is typical from this source. This single sided piece has a beautiful color with a mix of green, yellow, orange, red, blue, and purple. It's a beautiful piece, which also has another amazing feature, which is the round dimple with no color. This is a bite mark from a Mosasaur! I acquired this piece in September of 2022 during my trip to the ammolite mines in Canada. An outstanding specimen from the locality.
