62.42ct Large White Base Raw Ethiopian Opal

Big Beautiful white base Rough Welo Ethiopian hydrophane opal mineral specimen with a beautiful play of color.  This piece is very fine cutting/carving material that should have a good yield. It has intense red flash, with slightly less intense color play of many colors. This can cut an outstanding opal. We recommend that this opal material NOT be submerged in water (unless it is being cut, water will keep it cool), and it should never have any oils applied to it. Also, due to the hydrophane nature of this opal, the weight can vary slightly with humidity. We consider this to be a Thumbnail (TN) sized specimen.
