This naturally bright & colorful specimen is a fragment of a full ammolite fossil. Stabilizing and polishing these specimens is typical from this source. This single sided piece has a beautiful color that is mainly red and orange, but green shows when you angle it just right. It's a beautiful piece! An outstanding specimen from the locality.

These fossil ammolites are around 70 million years old & these particular ammonites are among the few sources that produces such spectacular brightly colored specimens and gem quality pieces
