This naturally bright & colorful specimen is a fragment of a full ammolite fossil. Stabilizing and polishing these specimens is typical from this source. This piece is very bright and is double sided showing colors of mainly red, orange, and green, but there is some beautiful blue on the outer edge, too! This piece would have come from the outer perimeter of the ammolites shell. I acquired this piece in September of 2022 during my trip to the ammolite mines in Canada. An outstanding specimen from the locality.
