This naturally bright & colorful specimen is a fragment of a full ammolite fossil. Stabilizing and polishing these specimens is typical from this source. This single sided piece is almost gem quality with very few large imperfections on the shell. The color includes some very deep blues, greens, and an orange/yellow patch that almost has a heart shape to it. It's very neat! I acquired this piece in September of 2022 during my trip to the ammolite mines in Canada. An outstanding specimen from the locality.
